Stainless Steel Coil

The process begins with the selection of raw materials, primarily iron ore, chromium, nickel, and other alloying elements. These materials are melted together in an electric arc furnace, where they are subjected to high temperatures to create a molten metal. Once the desired chemical composition is achieved, the molten steel is cast into slabs or billets.

After casting, the slabs undergo hot rolling, where they are heated and passed through a series of rollers to reduce their thickness and shape them into sheets. This step is crucial as it determines the final properties of the stainless steel. The hot-rolled sheets are then cooled and may undergo further processing, such as pickling, to remove any surface impurities and oxides.

Next, the sheets are cold rolled, which involves passing them through rollers at room temperature. This process enhances the strength and surface finish of the stainless steel. The cold-rolled sheets can be further processed into coils, which are then cut to specific widths and lengths based on customer requirements.
